Sharon Yvonne Stone, born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville (Pennsylvania), is her mother's Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, as well as Joseph William Stone, a tool and die maker. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone began the second grade at just five. She was considered as being academically gifted. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her win Miss Crawford County. Stone moved to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt in order to take on a job as a model. In just a few months, she signed up with Ford Modeling Agency. After one year of modeling in Milan and Paris, Stone moved to Europe. Stone was however dissatisfied in Europe by the fashion business and decided to move into acting. At 20, she appeared in the film of Woody Allen "Stardust Memories," with mixed receptions.
