Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, writer, host of CNN's "New day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. In her three decades in journalism, Camerota has covered stories across the globe, earning her an Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage of the arrest by Roger Stone, and the most prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her news breaking report on Hurricane Maria's effects on Puerto Rico. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford was named an honorary member of the board after being on the board for seven months. Anna Czekaj Farber, who serves as the current chair of the Westport board following her time on it since 2013, is also a new board member. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker from Westport who was chair of the board in the previous year. She has continued to serve in that position since 2006. Board of trustees members include 26 members.
