Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler came in 1990, the year she was only 19 years old when she won the Grammy in the category of Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat not only because of her age, however, the album that was a part of her success, I've Got That Old Feeling, was actually the third album in the collection of Krauss. Too Late To Cry is her debut album. The album was released in Champaign Illinois as she was at the age of 16. When she was 14, she signed her first contract to sign a contract with Rounder Records - one of the world's most respected folk music labels. The accomplishments of Krauss at this young age, as much as her virtuosity, are consistently confirmed by the fact that she has maintained her devotion to bluegrass, one of the oldest and most unappreciated musical genres. Krauss has now grown from a young teen star to an accomplished artist and producer.
